Killer clowns from out of space

Killer Clowns From Outer Space

1st police guy: moony
2nd police guy Dave
a man and female: mike and Debby
Ice cream guys: rich and Paul
some comet has came from space to earth probably containing the killer clowns
turns out it isn't a comet its a circus
something took the dog
old man punches the circus and gets electrocuted
a clown came and shot the old man
the man and woman make there way to the circus tent and enter
the man wants to explore but the girl is a bit suspicious
they find out its not a fun house/ circus
"smells like candy"
"looks like it was decorated by clowns R us"
the man and woman discover the clowns and they see them  and chase them but its okay because they escaped by car
terrible acting
the clowns make there way into town and start killing people
clown punches the tough guys head off in front of a biker gang
the guys name is mike
one of the clowns decided to knock a guy in a car off the road (road rage)
the clowns can kill people with shadows
officer moony captures a clown and put it in jail but he knocks out officer moony and kills him
the main female had a shower and clowns got into her house then they captured her and put her in a bubble thing
the cop, mike, and the ice cream guys rich and Paul go to the circus because they're following the clowns and they enter a spooky house
they find Debby and start shooting the clowns
then they get chased and the big boss clown comes so theirs a boss fight
main hero police officer Dave saves the day and stabs the clown in the nose which kills it and then everything explodes but some how Dave and the ice cream guys survive even though they were clearly exploded

A short summery would be: a comit comes from the sky and it turns out it was a circus then some kids (Mike and Debbie) go and follow the comit and find the circus they decide to investigate it but when they enter they find the KILLER CLOWNS so they quickly run to the police and tell the officers but they don't believe them so Mike and Dave go to investigate but the circus has moved, the clowns then go to the town and start capturing and killing everyone. Dave Mike go to save the day by following the clowns back to there hideout to save Debbie from capture they save her and have to fight through several clowns to escape then the big boss clown comes out so everyone escapes and Dave heroically stays to kill the boss, he stabs it in the nose with his police badge then it explodes causing the whole hideout to explode also somehow everyone gets out alive even though they we're in the blast radius but still get out unscathed.
Personally i think the film was very bad the acting was terrible but that's what made it so funny not as in a funny haha film more like you're laughing at the bad acting the whole time i would rate it 5/10 and its well deserved.

a pixel is not a little square

PIXEL
Unit 78 Digital Graphics For Computer Games
to understand the theory and application of digital graphics used for computer game

Picture resolution:

I refereed to http://www.microscope-microscope.org/imaging/image-resolution.htm during this section.

Resolution refers to the number of pixels in an image. Resolution is sometimes identified by the width and height of the image as well as the total number of pixels in the image. For example, an image that is 2548 pixels wide and 1836 pixels high contains 4678128 pixels you work this out by getting the width and the height then multiplying them and that's the amount of pixels in the image.
Image result for picture resolutions
Image resolution:

Photo resolution is the quality of the image it depends on how many pixels are used in the image for example if the image is worse quality it will use less pixels we're as if its a high quality image 1920x1080 that would be the best of the best quality image other than 4k images. Also if for instance you're using a 22 inch monitor you would use 1680x1050 and if you are using a 10 inch notebook you would use 1024x600
to make a photo realistic game or image you will need to use more pixels because more pixels mean more quality. The more pixels means more colour and more in depth pictures.

there is over 16,000,000 shades of colour on photoshop which would easily create a 64 bit game which would look very real.

Unit 74 Lvl 3 games design games with good story line

1.  Resident Evil 4
Resident evil 4 has one of the best stories in a game I have ever played personally I have gone back and replayed the story of the game over 10 times at least and I own it on PS2 Wii Xbox 360 and PC so it does show that I love this game even now and that's why its on my list
The story of the game is you are sent in to extract the presidents daughter from capture of the gonads a zombie type of creature which are basically a possest humans and when you finally get to the presidents daughter "Ashley" you find out you and her are possest too with this virus so you have to get it out of you which becomes your new purpose and take down the lord saddler who is controlling the towns infected towns people. Resident evil uses photo realism

2. red dead redemption
You play as an out law criminal that want to change his ways called john Marston through his journey in the wild west and make a better life for his family, me and thousands of other players grew an emotional connection to john and through the story you feel yourself connecting to him. SPOILER ALERT.......... at the end of the game all of the law men are told of the crimes john has committed in his past life and he is shot dead by 30 guys at the same time at this time and when you slowly saw john drop to his knees filled with bullet holes it make me feel very sad and i haven't felt that in a game for quite a long time.

3. Skyrim
You can play as a character than you make and personalise them yourself also you can chose through 9 different races and chose the character that suits your play style the best for example a Kajit (basically a cat) they're sneaky and are good at theft or a Nord who is a strong hearty solder who finds fun in battle they tend to be good at using swords and shields.
the main aim of the game is to kill the dragon called alduin who accidentally saves your character from being beheaded at the start of the game. Red dead redemption uses photo realism

4. until dawn
Until dawn is a game about 7 teenagers / adults who go out to the mountains where there parents have a cabin and they're going to spent there summer up there. Little do they know the cabin built on a ancient Indian burial ground so it is haunted and these things called wendigos are spawned. You become a wendigo if you eat the flesh of another human (so they came round because story has it there were miners that were trapped so they ended up becoming cannibals and eating there fellow miners to survived therefore becoming wendigos. One of the 7 decide to pull a prank on the rest of them (Josh) he pretends to be a murderer and he pulls highly realistic pranks on his fellow friends which also "pranks" the player which is a good feature. They later discover that its all a joke from josh but there are still bad things happening so they find out about the wendigos then a guy finds them in the cabin who is hunting the wendigos they all think hes the bad guy till he saves them also basically as soon as he starts hanging around with the 7 he pretty much instantly die.
The end of the game is determined by the players choices and the out come of who of the 7 survive the Until Dawn drama. Until dawn uses photo realism and is very very good

5. Fallout 4
Fallout 4 is a made by Bethesda who also made Skyrim so its got the same character creation in it and at the start of the game you are given the opportunity to be invited into the local vault "in case of atomic annihilation"then the bombs drop but its okay because you got into the vault just in time! You then find out the vaults are a government experiment to test on human subjects in all sorts of different ways like in vault 101 they freeze all of there subjects for 200 years which in my opinion is one of the better more forgiving tests, an example of a bad one is a vault where they put a single man in there with a life time supply of food but they gave him some hand puppets to play with he slowly became a psychopath and befriended the puppets they had fun together but he later died of insanity. Moving on you find your way out of the vault and then the world is yours so you can do anything you want if you go to a settlement close to the vault you can find the Minute men who are  a group that help people and settlements of the waist land. The main objective is to find your son who is captured in the vault when you're frozen because he is the perfect child with no exposure to the radiation so they can use him for there plans. So the main objective is to get your child back but most players like me feel no emotional connection to it so they couldn't care less about finding him and are more interested in exploring the waist land. fallout 4 also uses photo realism

6. Gears of war 2
It is your job playing as Marcus Fenix or Dominic Santiago to stop the evil locus horde that thing the world is theirs to take they plan on sinking all of the cities on the planet Sera. You Dom and the rest of delta squad dive depths into the earth to stop the locus and their queen from sinking the whole of earth in the end you flood the tunnels and sink the whole of the locus existence or so you think......  gears of war 2 uses an exaggerated art style

7. Halo Reach
The game takes place in the year 2552, where humanity is locked in a war with the alien Covenant. Players control Noble Six, a member of an elite super soldier squad, when the human world known as Reach falls under Covenant attack.
Its been a long time since I've played the game but i remember playing it and being addicted to it and also the story behind it replaying it several times halo reach uses both photo realism and cell shading

8. Batman Arkam asylum
Batman's arch enemy The Joker has a master plan to take over arkam so he deliberately gets captured by the police and gets put into arkam asylum only to escape and run the place unleashing all of the prisoners he has leading officer captured so its your job to stop him and take out all of his minions in the process. Batman arkham asylum uses exaggerated

9. bio shock infiniteThe game is set in the year 1912 and follows its protagonist, former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, who is sent to the floating air city of Columbia to find a young woman, Elizabeth, who has been held captive there for most of her life. Though Booker rescues Elizabeth, the two become involved with the city's warring factions: the nativist and elite Founders that rule Columbia and strive to keep its privileges for White Americans, and the Vox Populi, underground rebels representing the underclass of the city. During this conflict, Booker learns that Elizabeth possesses strange powers to manipulate "Tears" in the space-time continuum that ravage Columbia, and soon discovers her to be central to the city's dark secrets.

The player controls Booker Dewitt throughout the game, eventually working with the AI-controlled Elizabeth. Like previous BioShock games, the player uses a combination of weapons, clothing called Gear that offer unique attributes, and psychokinetic powers granted through Vigors. Elizabeth's powers can also be used to help fight hostile forces.

10. The walking dead tell tail game
You control the character Lee who was on his way to prison when the virus kicked off the cop car lee was in tipped off the road and had to smash a widow to survive you soon find a little girl called clementine and you adopt her as your own you continue along your travels making decisions as you go which determine the out come of who will die for example you're in a farm and there are 2 kids one a teenager and one a little boy you can chose who to save (so who lives) and what ever you chose the farmer Hershel will kick you off the farm anyway. In the end it turns out clem has been on her walky-talky so she gets captured by him and in the end you go and save her (recently bitten by a walker) so you know you're going to turn anyway but you still need to save her because lee has grown an emotional bond to her

Level 3 games design Unit 20
 computer games platforms and technologies

Gaming Machines:

Arcade Machine
Image result for arcade
an arcade machine is something you would typically find in an "arcade" they're very valuable as of now reaching prices like £1000 so if you have one you're in for some money. they are big chunky machines and tent to only be able to play one game which is built into it. Like a very hard horror game that makes you die every 3 minutes but it keeps you interested enough to keep paying £1 per life. The first arcade machine was made in 1971. The first ever game was "Galaxy Game" a lesser known game as it didn't catch on too well with audiences. Arcade machines are rare of today and you don't see them around as often even in most old school bowling places the only place I've seen them is in Hollywood bowl.

Console
most people will have some kind of console in there house be it a Xbox One or a Wii making it the next biggest thing most people rely on them in there everyday life and without them they wouldn't know what to do.
you can get your hands on a console for around £200-400 depending on what you're looking for.
they feature hand held controllers so you can sit away from them while you play and you require a TV to even see the games, so you can put the TV on one side of the room and have the controller on the other side and still be able to play which is revolutionary.
Image result for consoleThere are still older consoles though ones from back in the day when the only game ever was pong and people had to play that on an old Atari. they've been lots of consoles throughout the many years and they'll still be more to come

PC
the first PC was invented in 1975 and its starting price was £750! which now a days you can get a good Gaming PC for that price! So personally i think that was a bit of a rip off and only the rich would have had one. in 1995 the internet was invented so you could brows the world wide web and view anything from around the world which was the starting point of somethings big. Watch this video for information of the whole history of the PC

Mobile gaming
Mobile gaming is the most common type of gaming but people probably don't even know about it. If you think about it every one has a phone and owns some sort of game on it be it candy crush saga or pegle they are all games and you can play them where ever you want (as long as you have some kind of internet connection) most people forget that phone gaming (apps) class as video games and they're mostly seen and used as a pastime rather than something you use on the regular. The first game created for phone was snake which has different versions of it still being made to this day. It was commonly known to be on the phone Nokia brick which was made into a meme in its self as it is virtually indestructible you could drop it off a building and the screen wouldn't even be cracked legend has it the gods created the phone and that's why its so strong. You tend to play completely different games on them like candy crush or angry birds where as on consoles you would play games like gears of war and Call of duty

Level 3 Games Design Unit 78 Digital Graphics For Games

Art styles

Level 3 Games design
unit 78: digital graphics for computer games

Photo Realism:
photo realism is the art style that looks realistic like a photograph the game i am going to use as a demonstration is The last of us a PS3/4 exclusive and it really gets you involved in the game and you feel for the characters. photo realism is used in games where they try and make it look as realistic as possible such as the last of us, GTA, LA noire, and many more.
Image result for the last of us

Pixel:
pixel design looks more like a cartoon and unrealistic but it can still give of that immersive feeling the game i am going to use to demonstrate is Fez, Fez is a game where its still colourful even though its made by pixels the character is a little sprite and it gives of that small character in a big world feeling. games that use pixels are always close to the heart because even though they lack in graphics they tend to always have a good story line which is very important to me and probably the more important thing than graphics.

Exaggeration :
this is the art style commonly used by companies to make anime and its also used in games such as the Street fighter games it suits the game style well and it has made it one of the most iconic games ever. mostly it makes the characters and models over exaggerated hence the name and its almost the opposite of photo realism, it is always over the top for example in fighting games all the characters will be beating away at each other but they'll always get back up only to then use there ultimate ability which would kill a man but they would just get back up undamaged it adds to a humour level as well as a competitive fighting feeling with your mates Image result for street fighter

Abstract:
Abstract is the art style that is made up of shapes and colours for example the old classic games like Tetris and also Space invaders personally I do not have much interest in this design type but i still like it and have played games with it. It was one of the first styles along side with pixels and you can really tell by the design

level 3: My gaming review of resident evil 4

Gaming journal

Image result for resident evil 4Resident Evil 4

I'm going to review Resident Evil 4 for me personally one of the greatest games of all time and many other reviewing companies also agree with me.

I would rate this game a 10/10 if you haven't played it already you are seriously missing out.
sources such as IGN rated the game 9.8/10 so its one of there highest rated games. It has a few awards to its name such as VGX award of game of the year, VGX award for best graphics which i think is well deserved.
Resident Evil 4 was realised in 2005 and the developers Capcom have realised new up to date graphic versions of the game but personally I would get the original for the nostalgic feeling. The game is the 4th of its series and has you play as character Leon S Kennedy sent in to extract the kidnapped presidents daughter. for me its the best the first three were based on horror and had the edgy 3rd person view that made it hard to see where the zombies were coming fromImage result for resident evil 3
but it had the perfect balance of horror and action. It was the first in the series to have the over the shoulder view and it worked perfectly that's why all of the other games in the series had the same over the shoulder view that has became popular in most games today.

Image result for resident evil 4

the game has you travelling to a village where you fight the residents that have now became un-dead due to a virus called "plaga" it seems that they have some concept of life because when you approach the village un detected you can see them going about there everyday life farming and chopping wood but as soon as they see Leon they turn savage.

After finding the presidents daughter "Ashley" the horror isn't over yet because you discover that you and her have been injected with the virus and they make it there mission to get cured.

Genre: Survival horror, action, 3rd person shooter
Objective: Early game;Find the presidents daughter Late game; Eliminate Osmund Saddler

Hes a trailer for the original game if you're interested.

Level 3 games design unit 20
Computer games platforms and technology

today ill be talking about my gaming console machines, from the first ever one i had to the one i use currently.
My first console: I had a hand held game boy colour as my first console/ handheld and it was great especially because it was my first one and it was easy to get used to. However compared to my current console it cant compare in anything apart from on a nostalgic level. With my Xbox one i can go online and talk to people all around the world at my will so its very revolutionary were as with my game boy handheld you could connect with your friends but only with a cable that you had to plug into yours and your friends game boys. finding someone in your village with a connection cable was hard so its not like you could connect very often if at all. My first game i got was Pokemon yellow and i got it with the game boy i liked it very much even though i didn't understand what i was doing half of the time.
Image result for game boy colourImage result for pokemon yellow game

My current Console: I have a Xbox ONE and a PC (no i'm not spoilt i just have a job) personally i feel like Xbox is more social than PC because a lot of my friends have one and they have a built in feature called parties so you can talk to people even if you aren't playing the same game as them, something the PS3 didn't have at all. and on the PC you can use a program called Skype to talk to all your friends who also have Skype. I play games such as rock band 4, GTA 5, and the backwards compatible games such as call of duty black ops 1 which was a Xbox 360 game but they made it playable on Xbox one.

Image result for xbox oneImage result for gears of war 4 gameplay

The comparison: XBOX one is very different as its got highly better specs such as 1080p at a 1920x1080 resolution and the game boy colour has a 160x144 pixels which is very different
as it looks very much worse, the screen is so much smaller and on console you can plug it up to any monitor or TV even a 4k TV so you can really see how things have improved in the past 20 years
the website i used to find this data is https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/Game-Boy-Pocket-Color/Product-information/Technical-data/Technical-data-619585.html

The only advantage of having a game boy is that you can play it on the go so if you're waiting at a bus stop or something you could whip it out and start playing all your favourite classics but you cant really just get out your Xbox mid bus journey and play a quick song on rock band so an Xbox is a fixed console where as a game boy is not that's why its called a handheld.
